The Beaufort Orchestra made its debut in 1986 with a 14-member group. From that small group of local musicians, it has grown to a full orchestra. (More History)Under the direction of Fred Devyatkin since 1992, the annual concert season currently includes an Autumn Classical concert, a Holiday concert, a Spring Classical concert and a Spring Pops concert. Also under the direction of Fred Devyatkin of Savannah, Georgia, the Beaufort Youth Orchestra was formed the spring of 2000 and plays a full concert schedule.

The Orchestra, Society and its supporting League are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The mission of the Beaufort Orchestra is to provide performances and performance opportunity to the community of Beaufort, South Carolina.

Performances are held at USCB Performing Arts Center, 801 Carteret Street, Beaufort, SC.
